A: Internships are available to all current students and graduates. There are several to choose from throughout the year, and as an active member you can apply as many times as you want! From bridal shows to fashion shows, charity events, galas, helping side-by-side event planners and real weddings. Our students have interned with David Tutera, Preston Bailey, Kevin Lee, Lisa Vanderpump and many other industry professionals to build their own portfolio of work and launch careers in wedding and event planning. Our internships usually fall on weekends and take 1-4 days. LONG.
A: The main difference between event planning and event design is that the planner focuses more on the event management aspect while the designer focuses only on visuals. Many event planners hire a team of designers.
The planner meets with the client and maps out the entire event, i.e. invitations, schedules, booking providers, rehearsals, tastings etc. It collects information from the client (e.g. colors, expectations, size of the wedding, budget, theme). ideas etc. The planner then contacts the designer and tells him the directions. For example, “my clients like the colors pink and white, gold, the venue we use is Marriott’s ballroom, the budget for design services is $4,000, she and her husband met at the cinema, so they want only white and pink roses as flowers to apply elements of the movie to the design , etc.

At this point, the designer and his team come up with a design according to the size of the room and the needs of the customer. They create plans and sketches (or computer designs) of the room. Designers are creative people who take the logistics from the planner and bring everything to life.

A: You will receive the same degree of education while taking the course online or at a college of your choice. Taking the course in college is best for those who prefer a classroom environment and enjoy face-to-face instruction delivered at the same time each week. Online students have the flexibility to take the course at their own pace and meet face-to-face at scheduled times using video conferencing. All students have the same requirements.

A:The course is a combination of reading, videos, quizzes, assignments, projects, as well as interactive online learning with live class discussions and live webinars. There is also an exam. The community offers live videoconferencing discussions on a variety of topics with a variety of industry guest speakers and wedding planning consultants active in the industry.
