Acid Reflux is like an ulcer or stomach acid. I don’t understand why I got AR but I was really sick last week and couldn’t eat because I kept wanting to throw up.

A few weeks ago I did a poll on Instagram for salmon recipes because a lot of people were DMing me asking how I make delicious salmon. The first vote is the salmon recipe I’m sharing today, lemon salmon with cream and butter and the second is garlic salmon. I actually rarely make this recipe as Mat prefers it Japanese style, but when I cooked it for him yesterday he said it was delicious!
I thought I’d share this recipe on Instagram because it’s easier and doesn’t take too much time. But because I was feeling a little untidy, I just decided to share it on the blog. Coincidentally, I haven’t blogged in a long time, so I miss it too. 🙂
Usually when I’m in Indonesia, I always buy salmon with my dad whenever we run out of stock at home. The salmon Dad buys is always very fresh and can be eaten raw as sashimi, Dad usually buys it in Jakarta.
Having lived in England I always buy salmon from supermarkets such as Sainsbury’s or Aldi as it is close to home and I have never tried to buy it from Bulring market as it is far away. We usually buy raw unsmoked salmon for cooking, but yesterday we were interested in trying Scottish Smoked Salmon because it looked fresh and interesting.

Mat eats a lot of salmon, and so do I. Sometimes he can finish it all if he’s really hungry so I add 1 more slice of salmon so we can eat more if you want and even if we have extra we can eat it again for dinner or the next day.

However, since I was sick (acid reflux), still not getting better, and still on medication, I switched the cream to almond milk to keep my digestive system from getting worse. If you use cream, the color of the sauce will be stronger and thicker, and the aroma will be very luxurious.
If you are not allergic to milk and lactose like me, I still recommend using cream because the taste is very different.
100 ml Cooking Cream / Fresh Cream, you can buy it at the supermarket. Usually when I’m in Indonesia, I buy Anchor brand.
1. Fry the salmon in a small amount of oil in a flat frying pan until slightly brown, remove and set aside.
